Four semi finalists ready to go
There was no need for tie-breakers to determine the four teams for the semi finals when
the World women´s championships finished their round-robin i Lausanne today. Canada and
Sweden won their last games vs Switzerland and Germany and gave them the top positions
with a record of 7 - 2. Canada got first place since the Canadians had beaten Sweden.
Tied on third place were Scotland and Denmark with 6 - 3 but as the Scots beat Denmark
in the 9th draw Scotland were ranked third and Denmark fourth. That means that the semi
finals on Friday will be played according to this:
At 15.00 Canada - Denmark
At 19.30: Sweden - Scotland
